POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Engineering Intern at PanaVise Products Inc. would be expected to work closely with product and manufacturing engineers. The job will include exposure to manufacturing processes including screw machining, metal stamping, and plastic injection molding, as well as using SolidWorks and performing routine engineering administrative functions. The position will also involve a “hands on” approach to solving problems and testing solutions. The internship will be paid and have a work schedule that will be adjusted to exist with the applicant’s academic schedule.

  • Working with Director of Construction, direct, organize, plan, coordinate, and manage the functions and services of the Capital Projects and Facilities Management Construction division
  • Develops overall construction program project schedules and works with the Director of Construction to implement all projects timely and effectively serves as the liaison to the sites and administration for construction activities
  • Evaluate division performance, reviewing work methods and procedures and developing and implementing changes in work processes to enhance efficiency

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
  • Four years of professional experience, a majority of which consisted of working with a professional architectural or engineering firm dealing in building construction or working as a project manager for a building construction contracting firm
  • Knowledge of the construction of small to large commercial buildings from site preparation through completion, building construction, construction contracts, building construction coordination and administration, building codes, building construction cost estimating procedures and methods and consulting fees, building construction bidding contract document preparation procedures and methods, the operation of a computer and the use and application of construction project scheduling and management software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and principals of effective management, staff supervision, and administration
  • Skills at coordinating and monitoring building construction schedules, preparing and/or reviewing construction plans and specifications for completeness, clarity, consistency, and accuracy for bidding and construction purposes, conducting construction contract administration, and conducting all final inspecting of building construction projects
  • Professional registration as an architect or engineer in the State of Nevada is desired
