Molecular Sensing, Inc. is accepting applications for a short term internship for the purpose of monitoring a set of interference fringes and looking for very small shifts in some part of the fringe pattern during the progress of the experiment utilizing an extremely sensitive laser-based refractive index-detector to monitor the progress. Cross-correlation analysis, FFT analysis and ST-FFT analysis methodologies used previously have resulted in frequent but unreliable success in “signal of interest” detection.  The majority of signal is from change in refractive index of experimental solution; “signal of interest” is very small and not expected to be from a refractive index change but some other phenomena.

The candidate will lead software development in a dynamic research environment at National Security Technologies’ (NSTec’s) Los Alamos Office. The candidate should be skilled working with multiple languages, complex code bases, the software design process, UI design, distributed computing and algorithm development. Must have the flexibility and motivation to learn new languages and be willing to independently research computer science technologies to find solutions to problems. Will participate in software design meetings and interact with the customer to develop software to meet their needs. The support will change from project to project and can include a wide range of topics such as developing applications for data analysis, designing control systems for hardware platforms, parallelizing existing software to run on multiple CPU’s and/or GPU’s, developing UI software, and working with scientific simulation software to solve physics problems. Will be required to develop software in both Windows and Linux and must be flexible in using either. Bombora is looking for a self-motivated individual junior level SQA to perform software quality assurance testing in Bombora development environment.  As a member of QA team, you will be responsible for test planning, test cases, development, test execution, and bug tracking.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Works directly with the QA manager and development team to form a solid understanding of both the business and technical side for each project.
  • Involved in test planning with the QA manager.
  • Creates reusable test data, test case manual/automation
  • Responsible for identifying, logging, tracking and escalating bugs
  • Develops QA automation scripts individually

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of Black box/Gray box software testing experience including GUI, functional, integration and performance
  • Knowledge of SDLC and database
  • Knowledge of bug tracking process and familiar with project management tool and a bug tracking tool, such as Bugzilla, Jira, etc.
  • SQL, Web Services, Mongo, Google Cloud, AWS, API experience required
  • Selenium or other automation tools experience a plus

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline.
