Associate Product Manager | Legrand (ELE:UNR)

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Product Manager to join the Server Technology team. The Associate Product Manager will play a key support role in the process of releasing new products to the production and sales departments. Responsibilities include generating product requirements, reviewing customer specifications, generating materials for product introductions, and technical support for customers and partners. Other main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participating in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products
  • Coordinating technical product development, estimates of potential profits, and release to production
  • Managing day-to-day progress of new product development
  • Maintaining technical data on the website and test website when new functionality is added
  • Creating and updating product data sheets
  • Creating and updating part numbers in customer relations management database
  • Administering expedited part number creation and release (Hot Shot process)


  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Specific technical knowledge of data center physical infrastructure including power knowledge and experience in strongly desired
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks along with excellent time management skills and customer service skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the company, including engineering, marketing, and sales
  • Proficient understanding of project management principles and ability to read and interpret technical information
  • Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks
  • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; Vision and Publisher are a plus
  • Experience utilizing 3d modeling software such as SolidWorks, ProE, or Inventor is a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
