JUNIOR PROCESS ENGINEER | AQUA METALS

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Aqua Metals’ Process Engineers are focused on providing exemplary service to develop, implement, operate, and improve Aqua Metals’ processes in the planet and helping the company achieve its mission—to be the green company and be a quality leader. The Junior Process Engineer will know how to work in a collaborative environment, regularly interacting with operations, engineering, and quality departments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in generating and implementing test methods for development of new processes
  • Assisting in implementing and commissioning new processes with other plant personnel
  • Learning, developing, and documenting work instructions and standard operating procedures at the facility
  • Providing statistical capability analysis
  • Ensuring employees are trained and performing tests correctly
  • Day-to-day monitoring of manufacturing processes
  • Assisting with identifying solutions for process issues and ways to lead to the desired goals
  • Personal development

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or Electrochemical Engineering or Associate’s degree with two years of related experience
  • Some hands-on experience in industrial setting
  • Meaningful previous engineering experience in electrolysis, extractive metallurgy/electrowinning/electrorefining/hydrometallurgy
  • Electrolysis experience
  • Extrusion experience
  • CAD skills and experience
  • Knowledge of chemistry and statistics
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • Ability to communicate and engage effectively within and outside of the company
