ASSISTANT ENVIRONMENTAL, SAFETY, AND ASSESSMENT DIRECTOR | WASHOE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT (ELE:UNR)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Under administrative direction of the Environmental, Safety, and Assessment Director or his designee, the Assistant directs, plans, coordinates, and supervises all the district’s activities to ensure federal, state, and local employees, facilities and site compliance activities for all environmental, facilities, and employee-related safety and the district’s Facility Condition Information System Programs. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing all activities required to ensure continued compliance with all environmental regulations
  • Identifying required environmental and safety training requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with those requirements, safety regulations, activities required to assess the condition of buildings and grounds, and cost estimates for maintenance needs for all district properties
  • Supervising and administering contracted construction work affecting environmental issues, facilities, employee related safety, and activities to assist with or perform facility’s assessment services

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Enginering, Chemical, Biological, Physical, Environmental Science, or closely related fields
